Frequently Asked Questions
About the Promotion
What is the Kiwi Pay "Meses sin Intereses" (Months without Interest) promotion?
The "Meses sin Intereses" promotion is a 90-day interest waiver offer available to all Kiwi Pay borrowers where merchant participates in this promotional offer. If you pay off your full original loan balance within 90 days of your loan origination date, Kiwi will waive all accrued interest, making it effectively a 0% interest loan for you.
Is this promotion available to all Kiwi Pay borrowers?
The promotion is available to Kiwi Pay borrowers whose merchant participates in the promotional offer. If you received communication about this promotion when you originated your loan, you are eligible.
Why am I receiving messages about the 90-Day Promotion?
These messages are reminders that your loan may be eligible for our 90-Day Interest Waiver promotion. You may receive them via email or SMS throughout your 90-day window. No action is required — we simply want to make sure you have the information you need to take advantage of the offer if you choose to. To qualify, you must pay your full original loan balance within 90 days of your origination date.
What does '0% interest' mean in this context?
It means that if you qualify by paying your full original loan amount within 90 days, Kiwi will waive every penny of interest that has accrued on your loan, so you will owe nothing beyond the total of what you've already paid. Please note: interest does accrue at your normal contracted rate throughout the 90-day window, but it is fully waived upon qualifying payoff.
How to Qualify
How do I qualify for the interest waiver?
To qualify, the total of all payments you make must equal your original loan amount, and you must reach this threshold on or before the end date of your 90-day window (your "grace date"). Both conditions must be met: the total amount paid and the timing within the 90 days.
Do I need to make a lump-sum payment to qualify?
No. You can qualify through your regular scheduled payments, additional payments, or any combination — as long as the total paid equals your original loan amount before the 90-day window closes. There is no requirement to make a single lump-sum payment.
Does a partial payoff qualify me for the interest waiver?
No. A partial payoff does not trigger the waiver. The total of all your payments must equal your full original loan amount. If you do not reach this threshold before the 90-day window closes, the waiver will not be applied.
Can I miss my regular scheduled payments and make a lump sum instead?
We do not recommend skipping or deferring your regular scheduled payments. Your payment schedule remains unchanged, and it is important to keep your payments current. We recommend continuing your regular payments and making additional payments if you would like to reach the full payoff threshold faster.
What is the 90-day window exactly — when does it start and end?
The 90-day window begins on your loan origination date and ends exactly 90 days later, which is your grace period (maturity) date. The exact date is reflected in your loan details. To confirm your specific grace period end date, please contact our Support team or check your account in the Kiwi app.
What Happens After I Pay
How does the interest waiver get applied? Do I need to call in?
No, you do not need to do anything. The waiver is applied automatically by our loan servicing system once the total of your payments equals your original loan amount and your grace period has not expired. There is no need to request it or call in.
When exactly will the credit appear on my account?
The credit is applied automatically by our system. While we cannot provide an exact date or time for when it will post, you will see your loan balance reflect $0.00 once the waiver has been processed. If you have concerns after completing your payoff, please contact us.
What if I paid off my balance but didn't receive the waiver?
If you believe you have met the qualifying criteria but did not receive the interest waiver, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review your account and escalate your case for a thorough investigation.
If I Don't Qualify
What happens if I don't pay off the full balance within 90 days?
Nothing negative happens. Your loan simply continues on your original payment schedule, with interest accruing at your normal contracted rate, exactly as it was when you first took out the loan. There are no penalties, no fees, and no negative changes to your account.
Will my monthly payment amount change if I don't qualify?
No. Your scheduled payment amount, due dates, and loan terms remain exactly the same whether or not you take advantage of the promotion.
Will not qualifying for the promotion affect my credit report?
No. The promotion is a purely optional upside opportunity. Not qualifying has no impact on your credit report, as long as you continue making your regular scheduled payments on time.
Payments & Balance
How do I know what my current balance is?
You can check your current loan balance in the Kiwi app at any time. For an exact payoff amount or to confirm how much you need to pay to qualify for the promotion, please contact our Client Services team and we'll pull up your account in our system.
How are my payments applied — to principal or interest?
Your payments continue to be allocated exactly as specified in your original loan agreement: a portion goes toward interest and a portion toward principal. This allocation does not change during the promotional period. The promotion tracks the total cumulative amount paid against your original loan amount.
Can I make extra payments to reach the threshold faster?
Yes! You can make additional payments at any time without penalties. Making extra payments is a great way to reach the full payoff threshold before the 90-day window closes and take full advantage of the interest waiver.
General Questions
Does the promotion change my loan agreement or TILA disclosure?
No. Your original loan agreement, TILA disclosure, and all loan terms remain unchanged. The promotion is a separate upside opportunity that does not modify any contractual terms.
I was told by a store employee that this loan was 'interest-free.' Is that correct?
The promotion offers the opportunity to have your interest waived, but interest does accrue at your normal contracted rate throughout the 90-day window. If you pay off your full original loan balance within 90 days, Kiwi will waive all accrued interest.
Who can I contact if I have more questions about my promotion status?
Please contact our Support team directly. You can reach us via chat, email, or phone during our business hours. Our team can access your account, confirm your promotion enrollment, and answer specific questions about your balance and grace period date.
